Founder and Director: Cheryl Canfield

Cheryl Canfield, CHT, is a wellness and life counselor, teacher of spiritual principles, author, therapeutic yoga instructor, peace proponent (inner as well as outer), and nationally known inspirational speaker and workshop leader. She is now seeing clients in Copperopolis, as well as Santa Rosa, CA.

She is the author of Profound Healing: The Power of Acceptance on the Path to Wellness, a down-to-earth account of her journey as she confronts a diagnosis of advanced cancer at the age of 41. Going against proposed radical surgeries, she focused her attention on attempting to come to a place of inner peace before dying. In the process she inadvertently experienced a miracle and became well. Her subsequent reflections on physical, emotional and spiritual healing are summarized into twelve self-help practices so that others may use her hard-earned insights as a source of hope, inspiration, and practical advice.

Current President of Friends of Peace Pilgrim, a non-profit organization, she is co-compiler of Peace Pilgrim: Her Life and Work in Her Own Words, a spiritual classic with over 500,000 copies in print, and compiler and editor of Peace Pilgrim's Wisdom, an inspiring collection of seed thoughts from Peace's lectures and writings.

Co-founder: Randal Churchill

Randal Churchill, CHT, is founder of the Hypnotherapy Training Institute in Northern California, one of the first licensed hypnotherapy schools in 1978. He has received international acclaim for his creative and comprehensive therapy and teaching skills.

He is author of Become the Dream: The Transforming Power of Hypnotic Dreamwork, a book that describes his work as originator of hypnotic dreamwork and Regression Hypnotherapy: Transcrips of Transformation, called the most important book about regression ever published. Both books have received the Founders Award for Excellence in professional literature.

Aside from Randal's professional accomplishments, he is an avid environmentalist, believing that "We are living at the most important time in human history. As valuable as it is on a personal level to help empower individuals to make major improvements in their lives, we share an even greater need in the big picture to wake up out of our collective trance and address our intensifying environmental crises. We owe it to future generations, and to ourselves, to go beyond just slowing or halting the destruction and begin to restore the Earth. Is it possible for us to turn things around and begin restoring rather than destroying our small planet? The answer is a resounding yes. And despite current jobs versus environmental rhetoric, the very doable solutions for ecological restoration will make the world a much healthier, safer, more prosperous, more secure and comfortable place for us and our children. We need to make PEACE with the environment, just as we need to find PEACE in our personal lives. And as citizens of this powerful country, we need to demand that our leaders take us in the direction of being PEACEMAKERS in the world.”

Caretakers: Archie and Alice Canfield

Archie and Alice
At the recent celebration of Alice's 80th Birthday

Archie & Alice are at the heart of the loving caretaking of Peaceful Pathways. As Peace Pilgrim once said, "Retirement should be the beginning of our most meaningful years." Archie and Alice demonstrate that philosophy. Always willing and able to lend a helping hand and a compassionate ear, along with years of wisdom and experience.
